The CIF-SS has released its high school tennis playoff pairings, and a whopping nine desert teams have made the postseason.
Most of them open their playoff runs with matches on Wednesday. Here is the schedule:

D4: Temescal Canyon 14, Coachella Valley 4
D5: Hesperia 11, Rancho Mirage 7
D6: Ontario 11, Cathedral City 7
D6: Ventua 12, Indio 6
D7: Twentynine Palms 13, Lakeside 5
D7: Malibu 17, Desert Mirage 1
FRIDAY’S GAMES
D2: Palm Desert at Crescenta Valley, 3 p.m.
D3: San Marcos or Fairmont Prep at La Quinta, 3 p.m.
D7: Dominguez at Twentynine Palms, 3 p.m.
Of note: The baseball and softball pairings will be released Monday.
