The “Hope Nights Tour” will bring Christian music artists Danny Gokey, Jon Reddick and the band We Are Messengers to Victorville for a night of “light, joy and hope.”
Victorville First Assembly of God church will host the concert event that begins at 7 p.m. on April 18 with online tickets now on sale.

Danny Gokey
As a top-three finalist on season eight of the 2009 edition of “American Idol,” Gokey quickly became a favorite of millions of fans.
Following Idol, Gokey dropped his first album, “My Best Days,” which debuted at No. 4 on the Billboard Top 200 album chart.
He has been honored with three Grammy nominations, three wins as KLOVE Male Vocalist of the Year, two Dove Awards and numerous Dove Award nominations.
The death of his first wife, Sophia, inspired him to appear on American Idol. With the platform the show afforded him, Gokey aspired to “mix hope and entertainment in a way that would truly make an impact,” organizers said.
Gokey would later create “Sophia’s Heart” in honor of his late wife, which later became Better Than I Found It, a nonprofit committed to supporting other nonprofits, which are making a difference in their respective communities.
Jon Reddick
As a worship pastor, songwriter, and Dove Award nominee, Reddick intentionally composes lyrics that speak about redemption and hope in a way that impacts cross-cultural narratives of a generation hungry for healing, the artist stated.
After his college years, Reddick got into church work, leading worship for a church in Memphis and eventually making his way to Texas. In both places, Reddick leaned into bridge-building across racial and generational lines, working to bring churches and cultures together under one faith umbrella.
In addition to being a talented musician, Reddick is also a creative visual artist. In a fusion of his artistic and musical sides, one of his paintings is the single cover for his debut song, “You Keep Hope Alive.”
After years of leading worship, writing songs for the church and even touring with other artists, Reddick said he is now ready to pour all of his experience and passion into his own songs.
“I just want to be a conduit to help people reconcile themselves with God and each other,” Reddick said. “I want to bring people together. I consider it an honor and a privilege to get to lead people in the transparency of worship.”
We Are Messengers
We are Messengers is fronted by Darren Mulligan, a self-dubbed single-minded Irish man, who writes rock n’ roll anthems and intimate earthly psalms for messy broken people.
The band’s goal has always been to engage culture in conversation about the goodness of God and to put words and melody to some of the hardest things we feel as humans, the band said.
We Are Messengers have built a career by road touring around the United States, Europe and beyond. They have had 11 consecutive top 10 radio singles, including the multi-chart No. 1 hit song “Come What May” and the Gold certified “Maybe It’s OK’.
In 2020, country legend Vince Gill joined the band on a one-take stripped-back version of “Image of God” captured live and acoustic at Vince’s place.
Features by Cory Asbury, Josh Baldwin, Naomi Raine of Maverick City and Christian hip-hop legend KB have followed.
