On that evening of 8:15 pm, officers from the Oxnard Police Department responded to reports of an alleged robbery assault in the parking structure of The Collection at 2701 Riverpark Blvd., according to a department news release.

Three people told officers they were inside the parking structure when multiple males allegedly armed with firearms approached the three and demanded their property, the release says. One of the three was allegedly “pistol-whipped in the head, causing lacerations,” the release adds.

After the alleged attackers left, taking property of the three, the injured person, a male, was taken a local hospital and treated for minor injuries, the release says.

Investigators identified two 17-year-old boys, one from Oxnard and another from Port Hueneme, from the robbery assault and secured search warrants for their homes.

On May 27, officers from the SWAT team, K9 unit and violent crimes unit were deployed for homes on the 2100 block of Isabella Street in Oxnard and 2600 block of Tiller Avenue in Port Hueneme, the release says. Both 17-year-olds were arrested and taken to a juvenile facility after the alleged assault with a deadly weapon and second-degree robbery.

3 county residents arrested after robbery at ampm convenience store

Authorities have arrested three males, one 18-year-old and two 17-year-olds, tied to a suspected April 24 robbery at an Oxnard convenience store.

On that day around 4:30 a.m., Oxnard Police Department officers responded to a call for an armed robbery at an ampm convenience store at 1132 S. Oxnard Blvd., according to a department news release.

Three males entered the store, chose products and allegedly tried to leave without paying for the products when confronted by a store employee, the release says.

The three responded to the employee by allegedly going behind the store counter and demanding money, the release says.

One of the males allegedly had a handgun and “threatened the employee,” the release says.

The three left the store with the products and an undisclosed amount of money, the release adds. No one was inured.

Investigators found evidence to identity the three males as an 18-year-old and two 17-year-olds, the release says. On May 27, a home in the 2100 block of Isabella Street in Oxnard was searched and one of the 17-year-olds was found and arrested on suspicion of second-degree robbery.

On May 29, investigators searched the homes at the 1100 block of Johnson Drive in Ventura and 1300 block of East Channel Islands Boulevard in Oxnard. An 18-year-old and a 17-year-old were arrested on suspicion of second-degree robbery, the release says.

Anyone with information on the incident can reach Detective Randall Gonzales at 805-288-3289 or randall.gonzales@oxnardpd.org.

The 18-year-old has since been released on bail bond and has a Ventura County Superior Court hearing scheduled for June 15, jail records show.
