San Francisco 49ers tight end George Kittle’s season came to an abrupt end when he suffered a torn Achilles in the team’s wild-card win over the defending Super Bowl champion Philadelphia Eagles.
Without Kittle, the 49ers fell to the Seattle Seahawks the next week, and the Seahawks have now advanced to Super Bowl 60, where they’ll take on the New England Patriots at Levi’s Stadium.

While Kittle has expressed his love for football as much as anyone in the league, he’s unsure what his plans are for Sunday, and he has one hilarious hope for the game that can’t possibly come true.
“Am I watching it? She [his wife Claire] makes me watch every Super Bowl that I’m not in. I might be playing video games. I don’t know,” Kittle said this week. “I hope both teams lose.”
Neither result is good for the 49ers, but watching a divisional rival hoist a Lombardi Trophy in your home stadium and watching them celebrate in your locker room would be devastating.
