Will the weather be nice this weekend in Michigan? See the forecast, weather radar

It will be sunny and clear in Michigan on Saturday, June 28, but storms are expected to roll in on June 29, weather officials say, with temperatures moderating across the state.

Before Saturday, weather officials say much of Michigan should expect storms on Friday, June 27.

“…Severe weather (Friday) between 4 p.m. and 9 p.m. across southeast Michigan. Most likely severe weather threat is damaging wind gusts to 60 mph and localized flash flooding,” the National Weather Service in Detroit said on X.

“Showers/thunderstorms expected in northern Michigan (Friday), especially in the AM. By afternoon, the best chance for additional showers and storms will be near and east of I-75. Rain diminishes early tonight, with Saturday looking like a dry day,” the NWS in Gaylord said on X.

In the Lower Peninsula this weekend, temperatures will range in the 80s to 90s with Detroit and Lansing seeing a high of 90 on June 29, and Kalamazoo reaching 92.

In northern Michigan and the Upper Peninsula, temperatures will range from the 60s to 80s. Traverse City is expected to see 89 degrees on June 29.
