As many Michigan residents commence Fourth of July celebrations, they should be prepared to move festivities indoors as scattered rain and thunderstorms are in the forecast.
“Scattered thunderstorms are possible during the day today. Severe weather is not expected but lightning is a threat to those outdoors during any thunderstorm,” the National Weather Service said.
Hot and humid conditions are expected with highs ranging in the mid 70s to lower 90s.
