The Puerto Rican rapper and singer will headline the halftime show at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California. The Spanish-language musician has been outspoken against ICE, criticizing the federal agency recently at the Grammy Awards in the wake of deadly immigration raids in Minneapolis.
President Donald Trump plans to skip the Super Bowl and, according to recent remarks from White House Press Secretary Caroline Leavitt, he likely won’t tune in to Bad Bunny’s halftime show. Trump has criticized the selection of Bad Bunny, and rock band Green Day, to perform at the Super Bowl.
“I’m anti-them,” Trump told the New York Post. “I think it’s a terrible choice. All it does is sow hatred. Terrible.”
