Democratic candidates for Michigan’s open U.S. Senate seat are scheduled to debate at 2:30 p.m. Thursday, May 28, during the debate during the Mackinac Policy Conference at the Grand Hotel on Mackinac Island.
U.S. Rep. Haley Stevens, D-Birmingham, former Wayne County and Detroit health executive Abdul El-Sayed and state Sen. Mallory McMorrow, D-Royal Oak, will take part in the debate.

Polling has shown support shifting among the candidates.
A poll released April 28 showed Stevens leading the race with 24.9% support compared to 22.9% for El-Sayed and McMorrow trailing them at 16%.
A different poll released two weeks prior had McMorrow and El-Sayed leading, each with 24% of the support and Stevens trailing with 13%.
