Taylor Swift reveals 'Toy Story 5' song tie-in. What she wrote

Taylor Swift wrote an original song, “I knew it, I knew you,” for the upcoming Pixar “Toy Story 5” movie, the singer confirmed this week.

“It’s a *Toy* Story You knew it! My new original song ‘I Knew It, I Knew You’ for Disney and @pixar’s @toystory 5 will be yours on June 5th. I’ve always dreamed of getting to write for these characters who I’ve adored since I was a 5 year old kid watching the first Toy Story movie,” Swift wrote on Instagram on June 1.

On April 30, Swift’s website features a countdown with the classic “Toy Story” backdrop of a cloudy sky, which many surmised was a hint to a collaboration for the upcoming film.

Swift said on her Instagram post that she wrote the song, “I knew it, I knew you,” right after seeing the movie. The song will be released on June 5, and “Toy Story 5” will premiere in theaters on June 19.

“Toy Story 5,” follows iconic animated characters Woody, Buzz Lightyear, Jessie and the others has they adapt to a world in which kids play with electronics more often. For instance, one of the new characters, “Lily Pad,” is toy tablet.
