Poll: Who was the Holland Sentinel Girls High School Athlete of the Year? Vote now

It has been a stellar high school year for sports in the Holland area.

We have seen state championships, all-state performance and history being made.

Who was the top high school girls athlete of the 2024-25 school year? Here are the Holland Sentinel Athletes of the Year in their particular sport and any other individual state champions.

Voting will go into July once all of our all-area teams have run.

Magaly Lemus, West Ottawa. Was the Volleyball Player of the Year and headed to play Division I at Cleveland State.

Madison Ensing, Zeeland. Was the Swimmer of the Year after winning the D1 state title in the 50 and 100 freestyle events.

Mackenzie Baldwin, West Ottawa. Won the Division 1 state championship in the 100 backstroke.

Camryn Siegers, Holland Christian. Won the Division 3 state title in the 100 backstroke and was all-state in the high jump.

Helen Sachs, West Ottawa. Was cross country and track Athlete of the Year. Won the state title in the 3,200 meters.

Elizabeth VanDusseldorp, Holland Christian. Was the Golfer of the Year after qualifying for the state tournament.

Kaitlyn Geurink, Hamilton. Was the Basketball Player of the Year after reaching 1,000 career points and all-state honors. Also had all-conference volleyball season.

Tali Laskowski, Saugatuck. Was the basketball Defensive Player of the Year, leading the Trailblazers to another district title.

Isabel Anaya, West Ottawa. Was Wrestler of the Year after winning the first girls state wrestling title in area history.

Riley Howe, Zeeland West. Was the Competitive Cheer Athlete of the Year.

Hayden Pompey-Oshinski, Zeeland. Was the Bowler of the Year after reaching the state finals.

Collette Wierks, West Ottawa. Was Co-Track Athlete of the Year after winning the state title in the 800 meters.

Alba Rodriguez-Lima, Holland. Was the Field Athlete of the Year after winning the state championship in the high jump.

Kianna Vork, Hamilton. Was the Softball Player of the Year for the second time after earning all-state honors and leading the Hawkeyes to the regional finals.

Jordyn Klaasen, Zeeland West. Was the Soccer Player of the Year and also on the all-area team for basketball, cross country and track.

Evie Price, West Ottawa. Was the Tennis Player of the Year after a dominant season at No. 1 singles.

Aubrey Durham, Zeeland. Was the Lacrosse Player of the Year after setting the program goals record.

Izzy Steele, West Ottawa. Was the Water Polo Player of the Year for the second time. Also a strong swim season.
