PETOSKEY — The school year is wrapping up, and Petoskey High School celebrated each and every member of the Class of 2026 on Thursday, May 21 during Decision Day festivities.
During Decision Day, seniors publicly announce their plans for after graduation, whether that is joining the workforce, attending college, entering military service or any number of other pathways. Families, friends, staff and younger students cheered and applauded for each group.
“Whether students are pursuing college, trade school, apprenticeships, military service or certificate programs, each path represents an exciting step towards their future,” said Principal Deidra Gamble. “And today we celebrate their commitment to these goals.”
The event also recognized students earning academic and athletic awards, Petoskey PRIDE award recipients, and seniors graduating with Summa, Magna and Cum Laude status.
Petoskey High School’s commencement ceremony is set to take place at 7 p.m. on Sunday, May 31. The senior vehicle parade will take place at 6 p.m. on Friday, May 29.
