MSU football running back hints at return for next season

It appears one of the Spartans’ top running backs from this past season will be returning for the 2026 season.

Michigan State running back Brandon Tullis took to social media on Monday with a post that suggests he’ll be returning for another year with the Spartans. Tullis posted a highlights video from this past season, with a comment that stated 2026 upcoming.

You can see the post from Tullis below:

Tullis was one of the Spartans top running backs this past season, appearing in all 12 games. He ended the season with 69 rushing attempts for 301 yards and four touchdowns. He also had 11 receptions for 82 yards.

Tullis will be a junior next season and have two years of eligibility remaining.

Michigan State has added a number of running backs through the transfer portal but getting back a player with Tullis’ potential and experience is certainly a positive note. It’ll be interesting to see where he fits in with the new additions from the transfer portal, but regardless, this news will only bolster the Spartans for next season.
