Michigan State hockey is off to another amazing start, sitting at No. 1 in the nation and 7-1 over the first eight games of the year. Obviously, a major reason for the Spartans success is the play of goaltender Trey Augustine.
The Detroit Red Wings second round pick decided to stay in East Lansing for one more season, looking to achieve much bigger goals in his tenure.
So far, Augustine has played in seven of the first eight games, recording a 1.41 goals against average and a .944 save percentage to go along with three shutouts.
After another phenomenal weekend, only giving up 1 goal in two games, Augustine took the stand to speak to the media. He touched on his dominant performance, and what is like to have such a good team in front of him.
