Michigan football 4-star WR target Zion Robinson flips to Stanford

Michigan football lost a pledge from four-star wide receiver Zion Robinson on Thursday, Dec. 4, who has since flipped to Stanford, a team that was also in his top four.

The four-star wide receiver from Mansfield, Texas, posted on his Instagram story on Wednesday, he was “postponing signing until further notice” and that he would be releasing more details “shortly” instead of committing on the first day of early signing day.

Ultimately, he signed with Stanford.

Robinson, at 6 feet 3, 180 pounds, is rated the No. 30 receiver in the country and No. 25 player in Texas. His father Khadevis, who was a two-time (2004, 2012) Olympic qualifier in the 800m, is currently the director of track & field at TCU.

He recorded 47 catches for 823 yards and 11 touchdowns this season.

Robinson was one of two notable losses for the Wolverines on Thursday, who also saw four-star EDGE commit Julian Walker (Irmo, South Carolina) decide to stay in state and flip to sign with the Gamecocks.

Michigan has two wide receivers in its 2026 class: four-star Travis Johnson and four-star Brady Marchese, who flipped from Georgia and signed Thursday afternoon.
