Meet the 2025 all-KLAA girls lacrosse team

When the KLAA released its all-conference girls lacrosse teams, 16 of the 29 players were seniors.

That’s not unusual since seniors usually have more experience and coaches tend to defer to seniors when putting up athletes for postseason awards.

Hartland midfielder Reese Tomyn stood out because she was the only freshman in the KLAA to make the all-conference team. None of the nine honorable mention selections were ninth-graders.

Slots on the all-conference team were allocated by a team’s finish in one of the KLAA’s two divisions. Brighton and Livonia got five all-conference selections each for winning their respective divisions. Second-place teams got four, third-place teams three, fourth-place teams two and fifth-place teams one.

The KLAA has had a team in the Division 1 state championship game the past seven seasons. Brighton had a six-year finals run that included three consecutive championships end this season. Hartland kept the run going by reaching its first final since 2012.
