SAULT STE. MARIE — Several standout Lake Superior State University alumni will be returning to their alma mater this month to be honored during Great Lake State Weekend.
The annual event, taking place the weekend of Oct. 24, features a variety of celebrations and fun student activities across campus. The highlight is the Alumni Awards ceremony and Hall of Fame inductions.
“We’re honoring and celebrating a lot of our achievements,” said Assistant Director of University Marketing Connor Tetzlaff. “This is an opportunity to highlight and celebrate our students and alumni all weekend.”
Three graduates will be honored during the Alumni Awards this year. The ceremony will take place at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 25 in the Cisler Center. The honorees include:
Two former student-athletes, a celebrated coach and an entire team will also be added to the LSSU Athletics Hall of Fame. The Class of 2025 inductees include:
This year’s Great Lake State Weekend events include Laker hockey games against Bowling Green, campus open houses and plenty of family-friendly activities.
