The Michigan Department of Transportation plans to perform maintenance on the I-75 Business Spur bridge over I-75 in Sault Ste. Marie starting Monday, July 20.
The work is expected to be completed from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. each night, and is estimated to be finished by Wednesday, July 22. MDOT officials said the work may extend into Thursday if the weather does not cooperate.
While the maintenance work is taking place, there will be one lane of alternating traffic open with temporary traffic signals. According to MDOT, the existing ramp signals will be placed in flash mode and a 12-foot lane width restriction will be in effect.
