“It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown” will continue to exclusively stream on Apple TV+ for at least five more years, but there’s a chance again to watch it for free for two days in October.
Streaming service Apple TV+ announced Wednesday, Oct. 1 that it had extended and expanded its partnership with WildBrain, Peanuts Worldwide and Lee Mendelson Film Productions until 2030, according to a news release.
Apple acquired “It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown” in 2020 as part of a corporate deal after the 1966 TV movie aired for decades on network television, where viewers could watch it for free. The deal also included holiday favorites “A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving” and “A Charlie Brown Christmas.” The deal made Apple TV+ the exclusive streaming home for the Peanuts franchise.
Since then, viewers have had to pay to watch the Peanuts TV movies, except for when Apple TV+ allows people to stream them for free a few days each year.
Apple TV+ revealed the 2025 free streaming dates in its news release.

Dates for free streaming of “A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving” and “A Charlie Brown Christmas” were also announced.

“A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving” streams for free Nov. 15 and Nov. 16 on Apple TV+.
“A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving” features Peppermint Patty inviting everyone to Charlie Brown’s for Thanksgiving, even though he is already going to celebrate at his grandmother’s. Snoopy decides to cook his own version of a Thanksgiving meal with help from his friends.
How to watch ‘A Charlie Brown Christmas’ for free
“A Charlie Brown Christmas” will be available to stream for free on Apple TV+ on Dec. 13 and Dec. 14.
In “A Charlie Brown Christmas,” Charlie Brown is feeling down about the commercialism of Christmas, so Lucy recruits him to be the director of the gang’s holiday play. Charlie must then try to overcome his friends’ preference for dancing over acting, find the perfect tree and discover the true meaning of Christmas.
