Here's the complete Tigers' schedule for 2027 (if there's no lockout)

Detroit — Major League Baseball got an early start on releasing its schedule for 2027.

And, speaking of early … the Tigers, wow.

The Tigers are scheduled to open the season at home Thursday, March 25, against the Chicago White Sox at Comerica Park. If that schedule holds, that would be the earliest regular-season MLB game ever played in Detroit. The previous earliest home opener was March 30, in 2018 against the Pittsburgh Pirates. The Tigers have played three on March 31.

Of course, we’ll see if that 2027 schedule, released by MLB on Thursday (the same day the NHL and Red Wings released their schedules for 2026-27), actually holds up, given the Collective Bargaining Agreement is set to expire after the conclusion of the 2026 postseason. And many in the industry are expecting a lockout, and potentially a lengthy one as owners pick up their fight for a salary cap.

But, for now, here’s the Tigers’ 2027 regular-season schedule (times and TV assignments haven’t been announced, though most games will air on Detroit SportsNet):
