Thursday’s John Mellencamp concert at Pine Knob has been canceled due to poor air conditions from the Canadian wildfires, according to a venue announcement late Thursday afternoon.
Venue officials made the decision with the help of public health authorities, Pine Knob reps said in a statement on social media.
Tickets will be refunded automatically for those who purchased on Ticketmaster. Ticket holders who obtained tickets through a third party should reach out to the point of purchase, according to a social media post.
Mellencamp’s concert was announced in January and was to see the Indiana rocker perform his greatest hits from his legendary career.
The Rock and Roll Hall of Famer performed at Acrisure Amphitheater in Grand Rapids on July 10.
