Another week, another collection of exceptional local students.
Each week, high school principals and staffers around Holland share their nominees for Student of the Week with The Sentinel. We share those honorees online Fridays and in print Sundays.
This week’s students were recognized for their academic excellence, optimism, involvement in student organizations and more.
Dylan Duran, West Ottawa High School
Dylan is an outstanding student who’s always focused on classwork. He excels in every aspect of his education and always assists his peers when they ask for help.
Gavin Lubbers, Holland Christian High School
Gavin is engaging and lively in classwork and discussions. He cares about his peers and participates in community building outside of the classroom. He’s a cheerful and kind student who uplifts others with his optimistic attitude and welcoming spirit.
Izabelle Andrlik, Holland High School
We are proud to recognize junior Izabelle Andrlik as our HHS Student of the Week. Izabelle is an exceptional student who demonstrates a commitment to excellence in all that she does. Her work in the classroom is thoughtful, thorough, and of the highest quality, reflecting her strong academic abilities and her dedication to learning.
Izabelle challenges herself by taking AP and dual enrollment courses, where she continues to excel while maintaining an outstanding 4.2 GPA. Her willingness to pursue rigorous opportunities speaks to her motivation, discipline and intellectual curiosity.
Beyond academics, Izabelle is actively involved in a variety of student organizations. She’s also part of the Future Educators Program. Her involvement reflects not only her versatility, but also her enthusiasm for collaboration and leadership.
Izabelle is a well-rounded, driven and accomplished student who represents the very best of Holland High School.
