Detroit — A heckler at Comerica Park this weekend got one heck of a souvenir.
A fan sitting in the left-field seats during Sunday’s Tigers-Mariners game had some choice words for Mariners left fielder Randy Arozarena. In the second inning, Arozarena had his own message for the fan.
Arozarena’s hand-written message was delivered on a baseball that read:
“I don’t speak English! Yell what you want! I don’t understand you! I don’t care! (Heart) I love you.”
The traveling baseball fan posted a picture of the baseball on his X and Instagram accounts, “TrevsChirps,” and said it was delivered to him in the second inning. Arozarena threw him the baseball.
“What a Stud,” TrevsChrips posted.
The Mariners on Monday confirmed the authenticity of the baseball, in response to a question from The News. The Mariners said Danny Farquhar, the ballclub’s assistant pitching coach and pitching strategist, wrote the message on the baseball, at Arozarena’s request. Farquhar speaks English and Spanish.
TrevsChirps, according to a 2025 profile by the New York Post, is Trevor Gilmore, a San Francisco Giants fan who considers himself a “professional heckler.”
Gilmore, according to his X account, is currently on a ballpark tour, visiting Rogers Centre in Toronto on Friday before stopping Sunday at Comerica Park, where he was in Section 149, Row D, out in left field for the Tigers’ 5-4 walk-off win over the Mariners.
He is planning to be at Tuesday’s Mud Hens game in Toledo, Wednesday’s Guardians game in Cleveland, Friday’s Pirates game in Pittsburgh and the June 17 Reds game in Cincinnati.
