Two fans tried to go to great lengths to retrieve a baseball on top of the padding on the outfield wall during the series finale June 7 between the Cincinnati Reds and St. Louis Cardinals at Busch Stadium.
One fan wearing a Reds shirt grabbed a younger spectator by the legs and tried to lower that fan. As the fan tried to reach for the ball, a ballpark official appeared to intervene.
The Reds lost the game, 5-3, despite hitting three home runs. Tyler Stephenson homered in the third inning, and Matt McLain homered in the third and seventh innings.
Bryan Torres hit the only home run of the game for St. Louis.
