Fans of the beloved Big Boy burgers and Slim Jim sandwiches are in for a real treat. The Southfield-based Big Boy chain is in the midst of its 89th birthday celebration.
The chain, long noted for its iconic Big Boy statue holding up its signature double-decker burger, will be celebrating through Saturday by offering a few restaurant specials and discounts.
On Wednesday, fans of the restaurant’s signature Big Boy, a double-decker sandwich with two beef patties between two bottom buns, are in for a big treat. The burger will be available for 99 cents with the purchase of a Pepsi product.
Here are the other specials offered at participating restaurants:
June 19: Sandwiches and wraps for $8.
June 20: Free slice of pie with any purchase of $8.99 or more.
June 21: Breakfast buffet with coffee for $12.99.Big Boy Restaurant was founded in 1936 in Glendale, California. The Big Boy Restaurant Group operates and manages Big Boy and Bob’s Big Boy restaurant franchises, and most are in Michigan. Others are in California, Ohio, Nevada, North Dakota, and Wisconsin, according to its website.
