Fred Fuller grew up in Yale, Michigan, and obtained a Bachelor's Degree from Albion College. After much traveling and living in different places, he moved back to Yale. He worked for a time as a Field Manager for the Michigan Nature Association in Avoca. He was elected Mayor of Yale in 1989 and served one and a half terms. In 1997, he was elected St. Clair County Drain Commissioner and served in that office for 12 years. Beginning in 2009, he was employed by Huron Environmental Consultants of Lapeer for 11 years. In 2021, he took an intensive online course in Professional Genealogy from Boston University, after which he started his own company, Huron Genealogy Services, to help people with their family histories.
