Beach Boys cancel concerts through September 3, including Meadow Brook

The Beach Boys have canceled numerous dates on the band’s current tour, including a Meadow Brook Amphitheatre show on Aug. 15.

The group has been on the road celebrating the 60th anniversary of its landmark album “Pet Sounds,” as well as the 250th anniversary of the United States.

In a statement released from the group, the band said all performances through Sept. 3 are being shelved.

“We’ve been having a blast out there, and to keep the good vibrations going strong, we’ll be taking a short break to recharge before getting back on the road in September,” the group said in its statement.

Some of the band’s performances are listed as postponed, while the Meadow Brook concert is among those being canceled. Refunds for the Meadow Brook show are available at the point of purchase, according to venue reps.

An Aug. 6 concert at Frederik Meijer Gardens in Grand Rapids is also among those affected by the group’s announcement, though the fate of that concert is unclear.

“We can’t wait to see you back out there for a September to Remember,” the group said in its statement.

The band has two listed concert dates in late September, on Sept. 24 in West Springfiled, Massachusetts, and on Sept. 27 in North Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. Its next listed dates are Nov. 11 and 12 at Disney World in Orlando.

The legendary California pop-rock group has been performing with 85-year-old Mike Love as the sole original member of the group.

The Beach Boys most recent local performance was at Meadow Brook in May 2025.
