The Beach Boys have canceled numerous on the band’s current tour, including a Meadow Brook Amphitheatre date on Aug. 15.
The group has been on the road celebrating the 60th anniversary of its landmark album “Pet Sounds,” as well as the 250th anniversary of the United States.
In a statement released from the group, the band said all performances through Sept. 3 are being shelved.
“We’ll be taking a short break to recharge before getting back on the road in September,” the group said in its statement.
Some of the band’s performances are being listed as postponed, while the Meadow Brook concert is among those being canceled. Refunds for the Meadow Brook show are available at the point of purchase, according to venue reps.
An Aug. 6 concert at Frederik Meijer Gardens in Grand Rapids is also among those affected by the group’s announcement, though the fate of that concert is unclear.
The legendary California pop-rock group has been performing with 85-year-old Mike Love as the lone original member of the group.
The Beach Boys most recent local performance was at Meadow Brook in May 2025.
