Kyle Van Noy: John Harbaugh will return Giants to 'tough-nosed football'

When the New York Giants inked John Harbaugh to a five-year, $100 million deal this past January, they knew they were getting the real deal.

Harbaugh not only brings a resume of success in this league, but he also represents culture change and ushers in a brand of football that few coaches can bring.

In a recent interview on Sirius XM’s NFL Radio, two-time Super Bowl-winning linebacker Kyle Van Noy says the Giants are getting back to the days when Tom Coughlin roamed the sidelines, and the team won championships.

Van Noy knows Harbaugh well, having played under him in Baltimore the last two seasons. The Giants got back to basics by hiring an established head coach in Harbaugh after a decade of going the “hot” coordinator route with Ben McAdoo, Pat Shurmur, Joe Judge, and Brian Daboll.

Those four coaches produce a combined record of 52-101. They also had two interim head coaches over that span (Steve Spagnuolo, Mike Kafka) who fared no better with a combined 3-8 record.
