Mall officials said the restaurant closed July 3.

“Burntwood Tavern has been an asset to Belden Village Mall for many years, and we are disappointed that they will no longer be a part of our retail mix. The July 3, 2026, closing provides more options to continue to evolve an already vibrant and popular destination and is positioned perfectly for a new partner looking to reach our customers,” said Lisa Kreiger, marketing and business development director for Belden Village Mall.

Burntwood Tavern opened in November 2016 at Belden Village Mall, taking over the former Max & Erma’s location. It was the restaurant’s ninth location and first in Stark County.

Company officials did not respond to requests for comment. No additional information about what will occupy the space is available.
