A probation supervisor is accused of having an inappropriate relationship with a juvenile inmate and has been arrested, the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department said on Monday, July 13.
The Riverside County Probation Department contacted the sheriff’s department on July 9 about allegations of inappropriate behavior from one of its employees. Investigators identified the suspect as Nancy Salcedo, 43, of Indio, the sheriff’s department said
A search warrant was served at Salcedo’s home in Indio on Sunday, July 12. She was taken into custody and booked for “annoying and molesting a juvenile and unauthorized computer access,” the sheriff’s department said.
The sheriff’s department said its investigation is ongoing and it will not be releasing additional information at this time. It believes there might be more victims and asked anyone with information about the investigation to reach out to Investigator Myling Sam at 951-955–1700 or dispatch at 951–776–1099.
