The Cincinnati Reds are promoting five prospects, including their top one, from the High-A to the Double-A ranks.
Catcher Alfredo Duno, MLB.com’s 23rd-ranked prospect for 2026 and the top-ranked in the Reds farm system, will be bumped from the High-A Dayton Dragons to the Double-A Chattanooga Lookouts, according to Milb Central. Double-A is the second-highest level in MLB’s minor league pipeline, just behind Triple-A.
Duno played 65 games with the Dragons in 2026, where he hit 16 home runs and 47 RBI with a .260 average. His home run and RBI totals ranked second on the Dragon squad.
The 20-year-old from Venezuela signed with the Reds as an international free agent when he was just 17 years old with a $3.1 million bonus, and spent his first season as a pro with the Dominican Summer League Reds. He played the 2024 and 2025 seasons with the Single-A Daytona Tortugas, competing in the 2025 All-Stars futures game on the NL squad.
Duno was the Reds’ MiLB Player of the Month this May while playing for the Dragons.
Other Dragons players moved up to the Lookouts include first baseman Carter Graham, outfielder Kien Vu, third baseman Carlos Sanchez, and RHP Jose Montero, per Milb Central.
Graham, 24, led the Dragons in RBI and home runs. The 21-year-old Sanchez is the only one amongst the four in the Reds’ top-30 prospects list, ranked No. 25. Sanchez batted .313 and led the Dragons with 87 hits in 2026.
22-year-old Vu, a ninth-round 2025 MLB Draft pick by the Reds, ranked third on the Dragons in RBI and hits. Montero, also 22, recorded a 5.04 ERA and a 3-3 record with the Dragons this season.
