Arnold has repeatedly denied any connection to the case, and his representative reaffirmed that in a statement on June 24.
Here’s what we know.

Prosecutors say Arnold was arrested on kidnapping and armed robbery charges June 24, hours after two defendants agreed to plea deals in the case they are alleged to have committed on Arnold’s behalf.

What is cornerback Terrion Arnold accused of doing?
“Arnold is accused of coordinating and directing … codefendants to lure three men to an apartment where the victims were robbed, beaten, and held at gunpoint,” a state attorney release said.
According to the release, the Lions’ cornerback told the Largo Police Department he had been a victim of theft. He said $200,000 in “personal items” were stolen from an Airbnb he was staying at in February.
According to records from the Largo Police Department, Arnold discovered watches, jewelry, designer bags and shoes, a cell phone and an estimated $100,000 in cash were stolen.
In a report from the Tampa Police Department obtained by Detroit Free Press, three people allegedly were lured to an apartment where they were pistol-whipped and held at gunpoint. They were interrogated about their role in the theft of Arnold’s items while one of the accused aggressors allegedly filmed the incident on FaceTime.

Florida State Attorney’s Office considers Terrion Arnold ‘danger to the community’

A first appearance hearing will be held in Hillsborough County June 25, according to the Hillsborough County State Attorney’s Office.
“No one has the right to take the law into their own hands,” State Attorney Suzy Lopez said in a statement.
“A dispute over missing property does not justify kidnapping, violence, or retaliation. This arrest is the result of months of investigative work and collaboration between the Tampa Police Department and our prosecutors.”

“Instead, the government appears to be relying on testimony from multiple convicted felons who have admitted their own involvement and may have substantial incentives to shift blame in an effort to lessen their sentences.”
“Mr. Arnold looks forward to his day in court and is confident that the judicial process will lead to his ultimate vindication.”
“Like I mean, I’m a home guy, hang around my family and stuff like that, but a far as things like that, I just feel like kind of when certain things happen in life it’s best to remain silent,” Arnold said after the Lions’ spring minicamp earlier this month when asked about the case.
“And I mean, you speak on stuff that you want to speak on it, but at the end of the day, silence sometimes is the best answer, like I said before. That’s how I treat it.”

Three other defendants — Lyndell Hudson, Christion Williams and Freddie Hughes —also face life sentences on similar charges.

Who is Terrion Arnold?
A Tallahassee native, Arnold was a first-round pick by the Lions in the 2024 NFL Draft.
Arnold missed nine games last season with a shoulder injury that required season-ending surgery, according to detroitfootball.net.
He was due to enter his third of four seasons in 2026, under his initial deal, which also includes a fifth-year club option given Arnold’s first-round pick status.
The Lions have until next spring to exercise the fifth-year option on Arnold’s contract, which would keep him under his current deal through the 2028 season.
