New York Giants left tackle Andrew Thomas has put in significant work to improve his game ahead of the 2026 NFL season.
Speaking with Bobby Skinner on the Giants Nation Show on Tuesday, Thomas detailed how he has grown as a player while preparing for the upcoming campaign.
“I would say, physically, I feel stronger on the field,” Thomas said. “And then I just think, more detail when it comes to my sets, and just trying to be in better positions. I think I study rushers a little bit better. And then also just more of a leadership role, helping out the younger guys.”
Thomas was a second-team All-Pro in 2022 and has established himself as one of the league’s standout left tackles. He has played a key role in the Giants’ offensive line improvements over the last two seasons, as the unit allowed 48 sacks in 2025, down significantly from the historic 85 surrendered in 2023.
The Giants are expected to field a much stronger team in 2026 thanks to a significantly improved offense. That outlook should serve as extra motivation for Thomas to implement his offseason improvements throughout the season and build upon his strong 2025 performance, in which he allowed only one sack and 13 total pressures while earning Pro Football Focus grades as a top-10 pass and run blocker among all offensive tackles.
