The Cavaliers have traded their first-round pick in the 2026 NBA Draft.
The Cavs, as they were on the clock, agreed to a deal with the Kings, sending Sacramento the No. 29 overall pick in exchange for the No. 34 overall selection and a future second-rounder, as first reported by ESPN.
With No. 29, the Kings selected UConn forward Alex Karaban.
The Cavs, still in the NBA’s second apron, continue to maneuver their assets with the goal of flexibility. It’s possible they trade the No. 34 pick as well if they can pick up additional future second-round picks.
Around midnight of June 22, it was reported that the Milwaukee Bucks had dealt superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo to the Miami Heat in a blockbuster deal that was sure to have repercussions around the league as to how several contenders built their rosters and approached the NBA Draft.
