Colston Loveland to represent Bears at Tight End University

The Chicago Bears will be well-represented at Tight End University as second-year pro Colston Loveland will make his first appearance at the annual event next week.

Loveland, selected with the 10th overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft, had an impressive rookie season with Chicago. He led the Bears in receptions (58) and receiving yards (713), showcasing his receiver-like separation and pass-catching ability. In the final 12 games of the season (including two postseason contests), Loveland caught 59 passes for 790 yards and six touchdowns. He also set an NFL rookie record with the most receiving yards in a single postseason with 193 yards in two playoff games.

“He’s one of the most consistent players I’ve been around. And that’s saying a lot for a young guy,” head coach Ben Johnson said during minicamp. “… I’m really happy with where he’s at right now. We’ve been able to take the route tree to the next level and it’s something we’re going to continue to develop in training camp as well.”

Loveland will likely be joined by fellow Bears teammate Cole Kmet, who’s attended TEU several times in the past. Loveland, Kmet and rookie Sam Roush are poised to be a premier tight end group during the 2026 season, where Johnson will look to keep the rest of the league on their toes.
