Gas prices part of the problem, poll finds

Gas prices are part of the problem for Trump. 34% of Americans say current gas prices are a “major strain,” despite the cost of fuel falling. As of June 18, AAA reported that the average price of a gallon of regular gas is at $3.99 nationally — a significant drop than a month ago, when the cost was $4.51.

In the poll, 55% of Americans plan to take a vacation and 45% do not. Among the 45% of Americans who are not vacationing this summer, 49% say the main reason is cost.
