A 911 caller reported the crash at 12:37 p.m. June 13. Both vehicles ended up in the ditch northwest of the Clark County H, O and G intersection, known as “HOG corners,” according to the sheriff’s office.

The 52-year-old pickup driver was transported to the Marshfield Medical Center in Marshfield with serious injuries. Whiting-O’Keefe was pronounced dead at the scene. He was not wearing a seatbelt and was the only occupant of the SUV.

The Neillsvile Area Fire and Ambulance Service, Neillsville Police Department, Wisconsin State Patrol, Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources, Life Link Helicopter and Clark County Sheriff’s Office assisted at the scene.

This is the second fatal crash in Clark County this year.
