Dolphins offensive lineman out for the year after landing on IR

The Miami Dolphins made a trio of roster moves on Monday, which included the team waiving offensive lineman Carter Warren with an injury designation, among other moves.

After going unclaimed on waivers, Warren has reverted back to Miami’s injured reserve. With this, Warren will miss the entire 2026 season, unless the two sides agree to a settlement, which will result in his immediate release. At that point, Warren could sign with another team.

The 27-year-old spent six seasons at Pittsburgh from 2017-22, earning All-ACC honors once (2021) before the New York Jets took him in the fourth round (No. 120 overall) of the 2023 NFL draft.

Over two years with the Jets, Warren appeared in 14 games and started six, but he failed to make the team in 2025. Instead, he spent the year on the Atlanta Falcons practice squad and signed a reserve/futures contract with the Dolphins in January.
