Iowa women's basketball schedule: Pair of 2026-27 dates revealed

Two Iowa women’s basketball nonconference dates in the 2026-27 season were confirmed by Hawkeye Report on Tuesday as the scheduling puzzle pieces continue to fall into place.

Per Kyle Huesmann of On3, Iowa will open its 2026-27 season by hosting Towson inside Carver-Hawkeye Arena on Nov. 2. Towson features former Hawkeye Zion Sanders as one of the Tigers’ assistant coaches.

Hawkeye Report also confirmed that Iowa will visit the Knapp Center in Des Moines on Dec. 1 to meet Drake. Drake finished 12-20 last year, but early-season injuries severely limited the Bulldogs’ overall play throughout the year.

The Towson and Drake dates join other prior scheduling notes.

Iowa previously announced that it will meet Vanderbilt on Sunday, Nov. 15 in Sioux City, Iowa, inside the Tyson Events Center and Fleet Farm Arena.

In addition to its date against Vanderbilt, Iowa also recently announced a home-and-home series against national power UConn over the next two seasons.

UConn will host Iowa in a nonconference game in Connecticut during the upcoming 2026-27 season, while the Hawkeyes will host UConn at Carver-Hawkeye Arena during the 2027-28 season.
