Introducing the 2025-2026 All-Iowa high school boys golf honorees

The Des Moines Register is pleased to announce the All-Iowa boys golf teams for the 2025-2026 season.

The teams include a six-person Elite Team, made up of the state’s best golfers regardless of class, as well as first-team selections for all four of Iowa’s classes. The teams were picked based on in-season results and observations from the Register.

Elite team

Jaxon Adkisson, jr., North Scott

Adkisson made a huge leap from his sophomore to junior season.

After placing 38th at the Class 4A state meet as a sophomore, Adkisson was the 4A state runner-up as a junior. He shot a 1-under par 143 over 36 holes during the state meet Oct. 13-14 at the Hyperion Field Club in Johnson.

Judd Jirovsky, sr., Grundy Center

Jirovsky continued to show he can do it all as an athlete.

The Stanford commit followed up last year’s 2A state runner-up performance with an individual state title in 2026. He took the 2A crown with a 5-under 139 over 36 holes at the South Hills Golf Club in Waterloo on May 26-27.

Andrew Johannsen, sr., Johnston

After losing a playoff for the 4A individual state title as a junior, Johannsen gained revenge as a senior by claiming the 2026 4A individual championship.

Johannsen carded a 2-under 142 over 36 holes during the 4A meet on Oct. 13-14 at the Hyperion Field Club in Johnson. He won the title by one stroke.

Parker Rodgers, jr., Nevada

Rodgers did not have the dominant regular season he had in 2025 when he claimed his first 3A state golf individual championship.

But the Nevada junior was money when it mattered. He shot an impressive 5-under 139 over 36 holes at the Gates Park Golf Course in Waterloo on May 26-27 to claim a repeat 3A individual title by five strokes.

Jonathan Ward, soph., Waukee

Ward was outstanding in his second state meet for Waukee.

The sophomore went from placing 13th in 4A as a freshman to tying for second in 2026. Ward finished with a 1-under 143 to tie Adkisson and fall just one stroke shy of tying for first.

Cody Weaver, sr., East Marshall

Weaver dethroned Hamburg’s Keith Thompson to win the 2026 1A state golf individual championship on May 26-27 at the Westwood Golf Course in Newton.

He dominated the 2026 1A meet, shooting a 6-under 136 to defeat Thompson by six strokes for the championship.
