Carolina Hurricanes K’Andre Miller has become the 15th former Wisconsin Badgers player to hoist the Stanley Cup.
There have been others to do so as a coach, but as a player, Miller becomes the 15th to etch his name in history.
To no surprise, that number (15) is the most by any program in NCAA history.
Miller’s Hurricanes took care of the Vegas Golden Knights, 4-2, in a series that saw Miller record an assist in the first game.
Miller becomes the first Badgers alumni since 2021 (Ryan McDonagh) to win the Stanley Cup.
Most impressively, even if Miller wasn’t in the Stanley Cup final, Cole Caufield would’ve been with his Montreal Canadians. Here in 2026, Wisconsin continued its dominant run in the NHL with a former player reaching six of the last seven Stanley Cup finals.
