Former Miami Dolphins quarterback Jacoby Brissett has played for the Cleveland Browns, Washington Commanders, New England Patriots and Arizona Cardinals since playing in South Florida in 2021.
After joining Cardinals on a two-year, $12.5 million deal last season and starting after a Kyler Murray injury, Brissett has been looking for a new deal now that he’s the presumptive starting quarterback heading into 2026.
While Brissett hasn’t practiced with the team so far this offseason, ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler and Josh Weinfuss reported on Monday that the quarterback will report for mandatory minicamp this week.
Last year, Brissett started 12 games for Arizona, leading the team to a 1-11 record while completing 64.9% of his passes for 3,366 yards, 23 touchdowns and eight interceptions. Despite their lack of success with Brissett under center in 2025, Arizona released Kyler Murray this offseason, leaving the 33-year-old as the starter and Gardner Minshew as his backup.
If the Cardinals plan to keep Brissett as their starter for the full season, they should look to give him a bit of a bump.
