The recruitment of 2028 four-star cornerback Keaton Fields has exploded since the beginning of the year. Schools such as the Texas Longhorns, Oregon Ducks, Michigan Wolverines, Georgia Bulldogs, Miami Hurricanes, Alabama Crimson Tide, and more have extended scholarship offers.
The Florida State Seminoles, who are looking to land their first commitment in the 2028 cycle, have now added their name to the list. Fields announced his offer from the Seminoles on Thursday afternoon.
“After a great conversation, I am grateful to receive a division 1 offer from Florida State,” Fields said on social media.
Fields is one of the top overall players in the country. He’s the nation’s No. 16 recruit and the No. 2 cornerback per 247Sports composite rankings. In the state of Arizona, he’s the No. prospect as well.
His sophomore year at Hamilton High School was a strong one. The 6-foot-3, 190-pounder registered 43 tackles, six tackles for loss, four interceptions, five pass breakups, and one forced fumble. Fields was named a MaxPreps Sophomore All-American for his performance.
With an offer on the table, FSU needs to get Fields on campus for a visit sometime in the summer or during the 2026 season.
