Edge rusher Myles Garrett will wear the iconic No. 95 jersey he’s worn his entire career on the Los Angeles Rams.
However, that number wasn’t available when he officially joined the team in a blockbuster trade from the Cleveland Browns. In 2025, defensive tackle Poona Ford wore No. 95. So, during his introductory press conference, Garrett revealed how he acquired that number from Ford.
“There was a conversation,” Garrett noted. And when head coach Sean McVay asked if the conversation included “a couple bucks,” Garrett jokingly added, “More than a couple.”
Now, we may never know what arrangement Garrett and Ford came to move that number, but the result was that the two-time Defensive Player of the Year and seven-time Pro Bowler won’t need to wear a new jersey on his new team.
According to the Rams’ official website, Ford will wear No. 97, which he wore to start his career with the Seattle Seahawks.
