LOMIRA – The Dodge County Sheriff’s Office has been investigating a string of thefts from vehicles in the village of Lomira this month.
Sheriff Dale Schmidt said the thefts have mainly occurred overnight and involve individuals entering unlocked vehicles. More thefts include bicycles from within the village that have been found later abandoned.
Residents are reminded to remove valuables — namely keys, cash and firearms — from their vehicles when they’re not occupied, and to lock car doors and secure bicycles.
Schmidt added that the department appreciates information several residents have provided so far. Anyone who may have information or video surveillance of anyone suspicious is encouraged to contact the office at 920-386-3726 or through the Dodge County Sheriff’s Office app.
