Apple Valley’s State of the Town is just around the corner

With the theme “Playing Our Cards Right,” Apple Valley State of the Town 2026 will invite residents to review its past accomplishments while taking a peek at future plans. 

Apple Valley’s free event will take place at 11 a.m. on Feb. 18 at the Singh Center for the Arts on Bear Valley Road in East Apple Valley.

Doors open at 10:30 a.m., when town departments will deal out interactive games, activities and resources. There will also be light refreshments.

The state of town may also include remarks by newly hired Town Manager Todd Bodem, who replaced Doug Robertson after his retired in December. 

Some of the 2026 highlights may also include the soon-to-be-completed new Hobby Lobby, Five Below, Marshall’s and the Capt. Joseph McConnell Jr., USAF Park. Town officials may also highlight the construction of an Ulta, Five Below and Bath & Body Works in the Apple Valley Commons shopping center on Highway 18, east of Super Target. 

Town officials may also share an update on the $58 million, multi-year improvement project of the Bear Valley Road Bridge over the Mojave River.

A look back

Many told the Daily Press that last year’s “At the Movies” themed State of the Town was unique, entertaining, educational and oftentimes humorous.
