PEORIA – Police arrested five adults and one juvenile Saturday at the Peoria Civic Center.
Peoria Police Sgt. Amy Dotson told the Journal Star on Sunday that no significant injuries were reported from the incidents. The suspects were arrested on “numerous” charges, including aggravated battery, aggravated assault and resisting police. Dotson did not disclose what time the arrests occurred or the names of those who were taken into custody.
Peoria Public Schools held three graduation ceremonies at the Civic Center on Saturday for Manual, Peoria and Richwoods high schools. Police have not yet responded to further Journal Star questions about the arrests, including if they were related to the graduations.
The school district did not immediately respond Sunday to a Journal Star email for comment.
