When the Girlfriend Factor’s annual Club Cabana fundraiser took place this year, a new outlook for 2027 was announced.
The annual luncheon, where guests get to meet the awesome young women who have received grants from the nonprofit, will continue but the Cabana Boys — who are mostly now Cabana Dads — will not.
The annual event was a mix of friends old and new who got caught up on life while enjoying great food and great music along with silent and live auction items offered by auctioneer Alex Solowitz.
The Girlfriend Factor changes lives by providing educational and vocational grants for local women over the age of 25 who are returning to the workforce. The organization’s motto is: “If you want to change the world, educate a woman.”
To date, the Girlfriend Factor supports 30 active students and has assisted more than 250 women in improving their education — and therefore, their lives.
The Girlfriend Factor will continue its annual luncheon, and we’re looking forward to seeing what they come up with next year.
