First Texas Roadhouse opened in Indiana
Despite its name, the first Texas Roadhouse opened in Clarksville, Indiana, in 1993, according to the company’s website. The company is based in Louisville, Kentucky.
“Today’s made-from-scratch food (at a great value) and legendary service began with a dream sketched on a cocktail napkin,” the company said.
“Texas Roadhouse was founded upon providing fresh, quality food for a value, which is why we make our food from scratch, even the bacon bits, croutons and dressing.
“Texas Roadhouse is famous for its hand-cut steaks, fall-off-the-bone ribs, made-from-scratch sides, and fresh-baked bread.”
Steaks are “hand-cut by our in-house meat cutters and are always fresh, never frozen.
“Every table is seated with fresh-baked bread and honey-cinnamon butter. It’s our way of welcoming you.”
Texas Roadhouse is open for dinner-only during the week, although restaurants are open for lunch on weekends.
