Indianapolis 500 practice is scheduled to begin today, Tuesday, May 12 on the Indianapolis Motor Speedway 2.5-mile oval. Thirty-three drivers — including nine race winners and four rookies — will spend the week practicing race setups and for qualifying on Saturday, May 16, and Sunday, May 17. Speedway names ‘America the Beautiful’ singer for Indy 500
Indianapolis native and “The Voice” contestant Ephraiam Owens will sing “America the Beautiful” before the Indy 500 on May 24. He sang the national anthem before the Indianapolis mini-marathon earlier this month.
